"Everything has structure. Light simply makes it visible."
Thomas McClure — Libertyville, IL
I’m Thomas. By day, I’m a mechanical engineer finishing my Master’s at Purdue. But when I really want to tune out the noise of the world, I grab 15 pounds of camera gear and head outside. It’s the heaviest form of meditation I know.
I am a deeply logical person. I hate clutter. I love efficiency. My brain is constantly looking for systems to analyze and optimize.
I’ve always been wired to figure out how things work, whether that’s dialing in the right mechanical advantage in the gym or reading an outdoor scene to predict precisely where the light will fall. Photography takes that intense, analytical energy and gives it a place to slow down. It forces me to notice the reflections in puddles I would have otherwise stepped over, or the way light catches the leaves I used to just brush out of the way.
I bring that same intensity to my real estate and portrait work. Most of my shoots are outdoors, which means working with the sun. It’s a system you can’t completely control, but when nature sets the stage and you anticipate it just as you imagined, there’s no better feeling.
For portraits, I want to make a nervous client feel at ease, have a genuinely good time, and walk away seeing something in themselves they hadn’t noticed before. If we work together, you can expect someone who shows up early, knows what he’s doing, and keeps things moving—but who doesn’t take things too seriously.
When I’m not behind the camera or studying, you can usually find me making an unnecessarily elaborate dinner, watching Packers football, building my vinyl collection, or just walking.
I don’t take photos casually. Whether you’re trusting me with a property sale, a portrait, or a fine art print for your wall, I’m going to get it right. The goal is always the same: balanced, clean, and solid.
Precision is the foundation. Every image I deliver is built, not taken.
A Structured Approach
No distorted angles or blown-out windows. I shoot and edit for exact geometric alignment and true color, ensuring the property is represented exactly as it was designed.
I light with technical precision, then wait for the moment the subject drops their guard. The result is clean, confident, and entirely authentic.
I hate inefficiency. My backend is just as dialed in as my camera, guaranteeing a clean 24-to-48-hour turnaround on real estate shoots. No chasing me down.
Your marketing is the first impression of your work. Don't leave it to chance.
